I met a nice man from the Midwest who has been Homeless in Portland for a year. He said he’s had a very difficult time getting help from social services and it’s one of the big reasons why he’s still homeless. He’s motivated to leave the streets and wants to work. He’s the exact type of homeless person we should prioritize because in theory, it should be the easiest.

There are more than a few people that were a huge part of that that weren’t here for the last couple of years to see the fruits of that labor, but he’s certainly one of them. I’m happy to see him coaching. He’s a great man. He’s going to have a great career in coaching. Congrats to him on his first season.”
