When Dire Straits took the stage at Live Aid in '85, most fans had no idea why Sting joined them, but when he started singing the opening lyrics to "Money For Nothing", they realized it was his voice on the radio hit which widely went unnoticed til then 🔥 Goosebumps when Mark Knopfler finally plays that guitar riff and the crowd takes over for the drums.

Tom Jones and Mark Knopfler performing 'Feel Like Going Home', a song that was written by Charlie Rich, live at One Night Only, UK TV, in 1996. Tom Jones is already a mind-blowing vocalist from the very best days of music, on the other hand, there's a guitar virtuoso, Mark Knopfler, a man who has some of the most unique pieces of all time in his career within Dire Straits and as solo. Enjoy this lovely, rare, and awesome rendition of a masterpiece performed by masters.

Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits performing his classic "Sultans of Swing" in Sevilla, Spain (2015) This song was voted the second hardest to play after Van Halen's Eruption. One of the greatest guitarists of all time.

Can you observe Knopfler's incredible humbleness in this performance? He's acting like that song is not written by himself and he just enjoys the legends. The video you'll watch is a special one. Not only for you bot also for Mark Knopfler. Atkins was a great influence on Knopfler, possibly one of the most influenced musician was Atkins. He always adored his playing and dreamt of playing with him. Mark Knopfler, Chet Atkins, and Everly Brothers performing 'Why Worry', the song that was released within the ground-breaking 1985 album Brothers In Arms, by Dire Straits. This performance is a dream that came true.

“Private Dancer” is the title track from Tina Turner’s 1984 comeback album of the same name. Written by Mark Knopfler, the song peaked at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached #7 on the Hot R&B chart, helping re-establish Turner as a major solo star after her years with Ike Turner. Knopfler originally wrote the song with Dire Straits in mind, but felt it was better suited to a female vocalist, and Turner's powerful, world-weary delivery made it iconic. Several members of Dire Straits played on the recording, while Jeff Beck contributed its memorable guitar solo. The music video also featured actress Daryl Hannah.

It was December of 1980 when Dire Straits took the stage live at Rockpop but it was a night that was dedicated to John Lennon. Only 11 days before this concert, John Lennon was shot by a fan and we lost the legend that day. Mark Knopfler dedicated 'News' to the memory of John Lennon, performing along with his band at Rockpop. Dire Straits performing 'News' at Rockpop in Concert in December 1980.
