Yes it does make sense. Gomez is very injury prone. Since we bought him from Charlton athletic for £3.5m he has missed a lot of games through injury. Van dijk isn't 23 anymore. Leoni has just returned from ACL injury. We are playing a very dangerous game. Remember 2020/21 season

It’s about depth and experience. 36 year old with 2 young players never played in the prem off the back of injuries and we play in all cup comps. The club seems to be fucking clueless not like we’ve needed a defender for about 4 years and we are fed the same shit each season.

By the time those players are back from injury, we will be fighting for relegation. And how do you know when they come back, they won’t go back out injured again
