Aaron Greenspan explains that Nigerian President Bola Tinubu's (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) alleged role in the heroin trafficking organization, which operated from Nigeria through Chicago to #Indiana, was to launder proceeds from heroin trafficking through multiple accounts in his name. These were the funds that the U.S. Department of Justice seized. Apart from the allegations that he was part of an organization that smuggled heroin into the United States, the alleged money laundering activities would implicate 18 U.S.C. § 1956 and 18 U.S.C. § 1957.
