ICE has no legitimate role in policing who shows up to vote. Deploying immigration agents near polling places would intimidate lawful voters especially citizens from immigrant communities. Any genuine security threat should be handled by ordinary election and law enforcement authorities not turned into a federal deportation spectacle.
