Baseball is so soft. Bring back real men!

That's why the Marlins will always be a poverty franchise, what a damn shame.

I hate that managers are so afraid for a pitcher to throw 20 extra pitches. It’s ruined an important part of baseball.

I don’t know what kind of “pitching analytics” may have been involved here. But this kind of logic & philosophy is what hurts the game of baseball. Unless the pitcher is injured, too fatigued, or has a physical issue & can’t continue, he should keep going. That is a “shame.”

Dumb. With an 8 run lead, let him throw eephus pitches until he gives up a hit

This new overly analyzed game is pathetic. Costing people a real shot at history.

There have been 24 perfect games in the last 146 years of Major League Baseball and this kid is pulled six outs away from #25!? 🤷🏼♂️

Two things that are ruining baseball: Statistics and Gambling. Either (or both) may be the reason he was pulled.

This is very satisfying to see. With a guy like Eury, you need to be careful, but 120 pitches is where I would’ve capped it. Could’ve easily achieved 2 more innings in 28 pitches. Stretch him out, and give him a tight leash next outing or do a bullpen in between. Something. The Marlins have always been pretty sad when it comes to decision making though

With an 8-0 score, you need to let the guy try to make history.

Criminal. Pitchers get pulled from no hitters from time to time, but this is different. How many times do you get thru 7 inns of perfection? Who's to say it'll ever happen again? Just don't get it.

The bastardization of baseball strikes again
Fire the Marlins manager tonight..........I'm dead serious, that is terrible......if it was a no hitter........ok.....maybe...........but that was a PERFECT GAME!

What an absolute piece of shit of a manager.

Let the young kid have a shot at something special. If he gives it up you can pull him all day. Ridiculous decision.

Rooting for the Athletics to score 9 runs now. #Marlins deserve to lose.

I hate when teams do that! Let the guy make history!

MLB at its best, 7 perfect innings and you pull him up 8-0? He doesn’t get a chance to at least pitch to the next batter. No Fn excuse can be given for this F up. Mgr and Pitching coach should be suspended immediately without pay for this BS fiasco.

A’s fans can‘t even enjoy another teams achievement because their pitching is total ass.

This is not the game most of us grew up with. The pitcher had a chance at baseball immortality and deserved to be able to go for it. Just unforgivable.

oh well...

How do you pull ANY pitcher in that situation?

Meanwhile:

Clayton McCullough is by far the worst manager in the MLB. The Marlins have a nasty habit of changing away for hot hands and giving up leads. Should have been fired before Rob Thompson

Then fans should take it up with manager Clayton McCullough. It's not a perfect game if it's multiple pitchers (ditto with no-hitters). They are nice but historically irrelevant. The point is to win. Every game. If the walk made sense, it is made sense.

If you're someone who defends this, you're a fucking nerd.

If I'm that pitcher, I tell the manager if you pull me I will never pitch for that team again.

The crazy thing is forget about even the historical element. They almost blew the game bc of this

You don’t take a pitcher out of a perfect game unless they’re injured or at a zillion pitches, doing so is denying the player and the fans a shot at baseball immortality, and should be at least a fine-able offense

You know how bad it is when even the home team is shaming with the other team lmao

Could have used those fantasy points

I’m done watching the @Marlins until McCullough is fired. This was the last straw

Even the Athletics fans wanted to see Eury make history.

I hate the fact MLB and the gurus have conditioned the fans to think that 100 pitches is a lot. It’s not. People forget about the 50 or 60 pitches starters throw pregame warming up and the 8 in between every inning.
