After speaking with two Dagestanis who successfully reached the summit, he described them as walking legends and acknowledged the immense difficulty of the challenge, saying every minute on the mountain is a trial. However, it's not the climb itself that gives him pause. Makhachev says he often wonders how people manage to pray and perform namaz in such extreme conditions and freezing temperatures.
