This is quite beautiful. Being a woman, I yearn for this kind of reception as well. I realize not knowing how I’ll be received when I come home, impacts the end of my day or journey home. I want to know that I’m coming home to compassion and love. Or on the other end, sometimes when I’m home first with the kids and things aren’t ready or as planned, I can know my partner will be open the benefit of the doubt to the kind of day we’ve had.
