On America’s 250th birthday it felt appropriate to purchase a large chainsaw sculpture of a Bald Eagle. We picked it up on the way out of Deadwood this morning and Tim carried it on his shoulder like the patriot he is.

America’s 250th birthday celebration is already lighting up the sky, and Texas just gave the country a beautiful preview of what patriotism is supposed to look like. North Richland Hills watched 2,500 drones turn the night into a massive tribute to America, with a rocket, a bald eagle, and George Washington shining over families who came out to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. This is the kind of thing this country needs more of. Not shame, not apology, not lectures from people who hate the flag, but real pride, real history, and a reminder that America is still worth celebrating loudly. Sky Elements Drone Shows absolutely nailed it. 250 years of freedom deserves a celebration the whole world can see. 🇺🇸

Ever wonder how big a bald eagle really is? This shot puts it all into perspective. I’m guessing this was a large female because as she glides past a boat full of stunned photographers, she looks absolutely massive. And no, this isn’t some camera trick. Bald eagles are big. Some reach a wingspan of 7.5 feet or 2.3 meters!! that’s w i d e r than a California king bed. Also… let’s take a second to appreciate that tracking right through the boat. Someone was really on their game that morning. Cough cough. 😊

How did we miss this? "Intra-Orbital" means he shot himself in the eye socket, not the mouth as LVMPD stated. This is highly unlikely. The Desert Eagle .50 is 10.75 inches long. Ergonomics will not allow for it to happen. They also said there was two firearms recovered that he purchased. Does anyone else know what is melted to the muzzle of the Desert Eagle in the photo they provided? Las Vegas cyber truck bombing. Its time to talk about it.

A big thank you to OWL Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society for their prompt rescue of this young bald eagle I found down on ground along the trail, he could walk but seemed unable to lift off and fly - I’ll update with more video as soon as I hear how’s he’s doing! 🥰🙏❤️🇨🇦🦅 Delta BC 🇨🇦positive thoughts 🙏

This is a great example of something that has to be seen to be believed, and I’m not even talking about the eagles’ amazing aerodynamic abilities. I’m referring to chaotic tidal rapids that cause huge vortexes of water to push fish to the surface. You can clearly see one starting right when the eagle plucks the fish from the surface. The poor fish was rushed to the surface at such a velocity that the air and gases inside it expanded filling it like a balloon. Glad I’m not a fish.

The midair ballet of the bald eagle is definitely a courtship ritual, but this same behavior can also be the result of a territorial dispute. In my experience, a dominant female will always be the aggressor. The dynamics are interesting to watch. If she has not eaten, she will attack any others who get too close to her spot by grabbing them by the talons, swinging them around in circles, and tossing them below. It appears to be an act of humiliation with the dominant bird claiming victory over territory and food. If she has eaten, she doesn’t seem to mind sharing and will usually “allow” others to come into her territory and feed.
