Vintage, all of Motown singers from the 60’s or 70’s had incredible voices. Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross but Marvin was the Prince of Motown.

He was magnificent and soothing and so very special. Died way to young by the hands of his own father. Such a massive loss back in the 60's for MoTown and his fans including me

One of the greatest losses the music world has ever had.

When people didn't need technology to sound good.

Hes a fkn legend..Prince of Motown 💫

I'm still in my Pj's & at the first notes I am groovin. Marvin Gaye's songs were always played at our HS dances. Smooth & danceable. I give it 💯🎶🎤

Sadly, his Dad killed him, as he had been consumed w. drugs!

Yes, it is. A legend that left us too soon.

Voice of an Angel

One of the most amazing soul artist. You can hear his soul through his music.

Yes 🙌

Fantastic vocals and here is my favourite ! Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing (Official HD Video) via @YouTube

Marvin was not only a great singer, but also a session musician. He re-invented himself from straight R&B, to social justice music, and needs to be mentioned with the Beatles, BeeGees, and Tommy James and the Shondells as “evolutionary”, as their music changed throughout their respective careers. Any others?

Check out his isolated performance on this song.

There was no one like him.

CCR did a great cover too

🙌💔

There should be a picture of Marvin under the word "smooth" in the dictionary!

One if my favorites.

Incredible voice! Sadly, gone way too soon.😔

Great song. Immediately reminded me of the old days and the movie The Big Chill.

Him n Al Green

Smooth, cool, sensual, relevant and a superior singing range.

The most captivating & scintillating song of betrayal ever written, performed, or heard.

So resonating.

Oh yeah.

Love Marvin ! Hope he’s #DancinInTheVineyards #Prescient #WhatsGoinOn ahead of his time! 🥁💖🙏💯🎨

Lived listening to him and Tammy Terril sing " You're all I Need". Great duet! He was just an awesome singer ❤️
