This is only partly true.The main reason people use Microsoft (and SAP) products in enterprise is simply because checks all of the boxes. It doesn't have to do everything well, it doesn't even have to do anything well, so long as there's no buisness blocked due to missing feature

In 1997 my small school was going to buy a new computer and thought it'd be interesting to put a vote up for the students: Mac or PC? I strongly argued in favor of Mac, but the smartest girl in the class said PC because "Businesses use them more." I think about that all the time.
