Sadly, we still lack a proper feature film on untold stories like Koitalel Arap Samoei’s, especially before 1895 when Britain declared East Africa a protectorate. For future generations to connect with our true history, we need more films narrated by elders while they are still alive, books, and documentaries that reveal these layers; not just the colonial side of the story, but the people and worlds they defended our regions.
