To give everyone a scale as to how big this was... this is the size of those little dump trucks you see it destroying compared to a standard SUV.... This was a massive, MASSIVE disaster.

Senseless loss of life. Even the most basic monitoring systems could have seen that slide coming well in advance. They are predictable sometimes down to the hour with inverse velocity plots. Especially the big ones like that.

That’s one thing that links us and can ultimately heal us as a people… empathy for our fellow man. Praying for the survivors and the families of everyone involved; there’s a lot of hard work ahead for them.
