Ses collaborations avec le collectif This Mortal Coil, Massive Attack, Peter Gabriel ou Craig Armstrong, et bien sûr chanteuse emblématique du groupe Cocteau Twins "Wax and Wane" (Live, Amsterdam, janvier 1984)

apparently Liz Fraser performed live with Massive Attack a few days ago. seeing any footage at all of her singing in 2025 is so heartening & magical. i would say “can we get a Cocteau Twins tour please the world is begging you” but we know it’s almost certainly not in the cards

Elizabeth Fraser wrote the words to “Teardrop” while grieving the death of her close friend Jeff Buckley, who had disappeared in the Mississippi River the previous year. Her haunting vocal was placed over a distinctive harpsichord-led melody and heartbeat-like rhythm, creating one of Massive Attack’s most recognisable recordings. The track came from their 1998 album Mezzanine, produced by Massive Attack and Neil Davidge, and reached No. 10 in the UK. Madonna had originally been considered to sing it before the group chose Fraser instead. This 1998 Later... with Jools Holland performance brought the song’s dark, intimate atmosphere into a live setting.
