I am also a resident of Union Park, Bandra, and can confirm the serious concern this redevelopment activity has caused among residents. Falling debris and uncontrolled dust cannot be dismissed as routine construction inconvenience. The reported Stop Work Notice must be enforced, and immediate action is needed to protect residents, especially children and senior citizens. @mybmc and the concerned authorities must intervene urgently.

In the video, an unmarked ICE vehicle is stopped in the middle of the road… no vehicles are in front of it, and nothing is preventing them from driving forward. I’m not surprised to see that Elliot Page just falsely blamed a dry spell on being transgender. The truth is that Hollywood is brutal. Most people who get a gig never work again. A supporting part in a hit is not a promise of anything. The Odyssey made well over a billion dollars. Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, and Christopher Nolan put people in the seats. Page played Sinon, a role that is not even in Homer. Treating that credit like a guarantee of more work is a distorted view of how the business works. Page said it is “a little tricky to get cast now, for obvious reasons,” and that the industry still needs to adapt. Page is the one making identity the focus. Studios hire faces that sell tickets. They do not owe anyone a career because of a personal identity. Plenty of actors never get near a movie the size of The Odyssey no matter how hard they work. The ones who last treat the work as the priority and keep their private life off the press tour. Gratitude is what Page is really missing. The solution is simple. Stop making identity the pitch. Be good in the role. If the work is strong enough, the offers follow. If they do not, that is Hollywood. It always was.

The Serbian community has deep roots in this city since its earliest days. Chicagoland is home to the largest Serbian community outside of Serbia and the Balkans. We are a huge, longstanding, and proud community in this city and we will not accept being disregarded or insulted. Without any consultation with our community, a decision was made to raise the flag of the terrorist and criminal “Republic of Kosovo” at Daley Plaza. This is an occupied territory that remains deeply painful for the Serbian people as this land is the centerpiece of our religion, culture and identity. For our community, this act is not symbolic or fun, it is a political statement that directly insults us. This action is unacceptable. If this terrorist flag of so called Republic of Kosovo is raised again in our city without dialogue or consideration of our community, you should expect a highly visible public protest at levels you’ve never seen before. Apparently, I saw this video online and I decided to share. What this worker is applying is called bitumen, or what many of us know as bituminous coating. Most people think a wall is a solid, impenetrable block, but in reality, it is more like a sponge. Concrete and blocks have microscopic pores that pull water from the earth through a process we call capillary action. This thick black substance is the shield that stops that water from climbing up into the house. It is not about making the wall look good because this part will be buried under the dirt forever. It is about creating a skin that water cannot breathe through. When do you need to do this? The need for this arises because the soil is a very aggressive environment. Water is not your only enemy.. The ground also contains salts and sulfates that want to eat away at the cement. If this moisture finds its way to the steel bars inside the columns, those bars will start to rust. And when steel rusts, it expands, and that expansion is what cracks the concrete from the inside out. This coating is the only thing standing between your foundation and that kind of slow destruction. Thats is why if you see wet patches at the bottom of your walls inside your house, it usually means someone skipped this step or did it poorly during construction. You can apply this anytime you are building parts of a structure that will stay in contact with the ground. It is common in areas where the water table is high or where the soil stays damp for most of the year. This is a one-shot opportunity. Once you backfill the soil, you can never go back to fix it without a lot of expense and a lot of digging. It is about having the foresight to protect the heart of the building while it is still exposed. Please don’t ignore this if you need to. It is about creating a skin that water cannot breathe through. When do you need to do this? The need for this arises because the soil is a very aggressive environment. Water is not your only enemy.. The ground also contains salts and sulfates that want to eat away at the cement. If this moisture finds its way to the steel bars inside the columns, those bars will start to rust. And when steel rusts, it expands, and that expansion is what cracks the concrete from the inside out. This coating is the only thing standing between your foundation and that kind of slow destruction. Thats is why if you see wet patches at the bottom of your walls inside your house, it usually means someone skipped this step or did it poorly during construction. You can apply this anytime you are building parts of a structure that will stay in contact with the ground. Please do not get tired of me posting about the same thing. The stakes are high! Its a matter of crores of Indians, especially children. When it comes to children, hesitancy can have a cost!
