Gas has to use more ethanol yet we have plenty? The U.S. has increased the allowable ethanol blend in gasoline to E15, which contains up to 15% ethanol, as part of efforts to provide more affordable fuel options amid rising gas prices. This change is intended to enhance fuel supply and flexibility in the marketplace, although it may not significantly lower prices in the short term How does this make sense in MAGAtardville? I checked the traffic around 8:00 a.m. this morning, and this is what I saw for the tanker activity. The Gulf of “America” is booming with tankers, and no so much on the Persian Gulf/Gulf of Oman and Strait of Hormuz. The red dots represent tankers that are anchored - loads of them in the Persian Gulf, not so much in the Gulf of America.

It’s almost as if the blockade of the Strait is serving multiple purposes. 🤣🤣

China will buy our oil at 100bbl, US gas prices will hit $10/gal, but hey the CCP will have the oil it needs to make more cheap Trump merch, so...MAGA!

We’ll have to ramp up production and speed up loading significantly. Or ramp it way up in Venezuela. There is a reality to how many new barrels can actually be loaded onto VLCCs from the U.S. All the VLCCs in the world could head toward Texas and Louisiana, but export capacity is finite. LOOP, under perfect uninterrupted conditions, can load about 3 VLCCs per day from its 3 offshore buoys—about 90 per month. At roughly 2 million barrels per VLCC, that is 180 million barrels per month. Corpus Christi area terminals can generally handle about 3–4 VLCCs at one time. But these terminals already serve the world’s existing trade. So new or replacement tonnage from a Hormuz closure would be far smaller. Many ships would sit at anchor, light-load at dockside terminals, or await offshore topping off.
