@ntlivejapan A few years after the performance, I saw this recorded play in the National Theatre Archive. At the time of the performance, I never imagined that there would be a future where I could see it on the screen!

Toni Storm to Jon Moxley: “Despite your love of cargo pants... I really like you, Jonny. But when you operate in fear, where you operate in hate... I operate in LOVE and what I do for love is far more violent than you can ever imagine... Jonny!” 😂

Benedict Cumberbatch voiced Sauron in The Hobbit (2013) by speaking all his lines backward — on purpose. Peter Jackson then reversed the audio in post-production to make Sauron sound more otherworldly and menacing.

I feel like Benedict Cumberbatch had far too much fun with this role😅, Imagine being a medieval peasant who one day witnesses a dragon you've heard about in countless folk tales suddenly attack your village out of nowhere. And not only is it WAY bigger and more powerful

Benedict Cumberbatch reveals his father told him he was a better actor than he ever was after seeing him perform at university. "Benedict Cumberbatch: My dad worked non-stop, partly to pay for a ludicrously expensive education. That was purely to make me see sense and become a doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, just something of use to society. Continually disappointing them by continuing to be an actor." "Claire Foy: A really, really, really good one, though. So, that's good, isn't it, though?" "Benedict Cumberbatch: One of my key motivations is to keep them happy and proud. My dad said such a huge thing. He saw me at university, and I was playing Salieri in Amadeus. It was in the car park afterwards, and he said, 'You're better at this than I ever was or ever will be. I can't wait to watch you and support you in what I think is going to be a fantastic career.'"
