Behind that tap, money may need to move across currencies, banks, payment providers, and borders. Traditional systems often require companies to park funds in local accounts before they are needed, leaving capital stagnant for long periods of time where it’s not able to earn a return or be put to work. Its technology supported Hyundai Motor America’s stablecoin payment to its Mexico affiliate, completed on Avalanche in minutes instead of days. Nonco helps institutions exchange currencies and stablecoins by requesting prices directly from a network of professional liquidity providers. That gives them access to more competitive rates while allowing both sides of the transaction to settle together onchain. SMBC, Japan’s second-largest bank, is exploring stablecoin infrastructure for wholesale institutional payments. It is also working alongside MUFG and Mizuho on a potential yen-pegged stablecoin initiative built on Avalanche. StraitsX is working with KBank through Project BLOOM to develop payment infrastructure that can improve settlement across Southeast Asian corridors where moving money remains particularly slow and expensive. AeraTech helps multinational companies manage cash across subsidiaries, offset internal obligations, and settle inter-company payments without unnecessarily routing every transaction through external banks. These different companies all represent or engage with different parts of the payment and treasury stack. But they all have a shared goal: keep capital working longer, move it when it is needed, and make cross-border payments faster and more efficient. That is what the Avalanche Payments Collective is bringing together. Frictionless, borderless payments that really are instant, simple, and straightforward.

Ripple Breaks Ground in the UAE, as RLUSD Becomes the First U.S. 🇺🇸 Stablecoin Approved Under DFSA 🇦🇪Framework Ripple has officially become the first blockchain company to have its stablecoin RLUSD approved by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) for use within the prestigious Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This marks a historic inflection point in the evolution of global stablecoin regulation and sets a bold precedent for the industry. For the first time, a U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin is fully licensed under a Gulf state’s comprehensive virtual asset regulatory regime, unlocking real world use cases across the Middle East’s most advanced financial sandbox. RLUSD can now be integrated into Ripple’s DFSA approved payment infrastructure, as well as deployed by banks, fintechs, and asset managers operating in the DIFC. The UAE, particularly Duba, has positioned itself as a forward thinking digital finance hub, balancing innovation with regulatory oversight. With this approval, RLUSD becomes a compliant liquidity vehicle in a region increasingly looking to bypass outdated correspondent banking systems. It can now power real estate tokenization; as seen with the Dubai Land Department, crossborder payments, merchant settlements, and enterprise treasury flows, all while leveraging XRPL Ripple’s regulatory win sends a powerful message to global players “the path forward isn’t through avoidance, it’s through alignment.” As the UAE becomes a proving ground for regulated stablecoin deployment, other jurisdictions may follow suit, especially those seeking to integrate blockchain without surrendering compliance. It now stands as the gold standard for stablecoins used in institutional grade finance. RLUSD is the on-ramp. XRP is the engine. As RLUSD flows into corridors like UAE - India, UAE - Africa, and UAE - Europe, XRP becomes the bridge asset to handle illiquid pair conversions and global net settlement. Every RLUSD transaction that hits an exotic corridor where the stablecoin lacks liquidity is an invitation for XRP to step in and close the gap via On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) and decentralized market making. IF YOU SKIP LAYER 2, YOUR LAYER 5 WILL LOOK BROKEN WHEN IT IS ACTUALLY JUST STANDING ON NOTHING. for weeks i debated harness vs loop vs graph like they were competing choices. then a stack diagram made the shape obvious. they are not choices. they are floors. 01 | prompt engineering. the message. unit of work: one input. inputs are role, instructions, examples, format. output is a single raw response. 02 | context engineering. the memory. unit of work: what stays in the window. a curator selects, compresses, and drops from query, docs, memory, prior turns, and tool outputs before the prompt runs. 03 | harness engineering. the machine. unit of work: the machine itself. gather (context + prompt) → LLM → tools or sub-agents → verifier → final response. the article calls this the operating environment. 04 | loop engineering. the system. unit of work: the run. goal + success criteria + max iterations + budget + completion check wrap around one harness pass. failed pass appends results to context and retries. 05 | graph engineering. the topology. unit of work: the graph run. goal + nodes + edges + state schema. graph routes to agent nodes, tool nodes, or human approval. a reviewer node with a different model and fresh context checks the final answer. the wrapping is the whole point. layer 5 assumes layer 4 works. layer 4 assumes layer 3 works. skip layer 2 and layer 3's verifier keeps failing without a clear reason. this is why swapping the model is a one-day project and swapping the stack is a quarter. the model is the commodity. the five layers around it are the engineering. full three-layer breakdown of the top of the stack (harness, loop, graph) in the post below.
