Masterpiece.

Someone I follow said once in so many words, that this should have been a Bond movie theme song. Definitely should've.🎼💙

I agree!

1994 trip-hop history milestone! To catch that dusty sound on 'Dummy', Portishead recorded tracks on vinyl, threw them on the studio floor, scratched them up, and sampled them back in. Beth Gibbons recorded her haunting vocals in total darkness. Pure art. 🌌🎧

And incredible live. So thankful I got to see them. Also

Every time I listen to this album, my vision becomes black and white and a half smoked cigarette with all of its ash appears in my hand.

Isaac Hayes!

"Sour Times" "Pedestal" "It Could Be Sweet" Just an all-time great record.

Truly

I Looove this song ❤️‍🔥

Absolutely proper piece of music. Wonderful

Only discovered recently that John Martyn covered this. Heard it in a record shop in Bordeaux and last week in an Oxfam in Dundee.

Oh, Miss Gibbons! 🫠

OMG, I need a cigarette and I don’t smoke! I need….!😮‍💨

❤️

Great Album

IMHO I bracket this with VU, Pet Sounds, Sigur Ros, some of Joni’s work and that it’s ‘art’
