Few albums make me think of college more than this one. The Roots were truly firing on all cylinders at that point. I wore that CD the F out.

J Dilla is a sick individual to make That & This.

Listened to this song a lot in the last weeks during my Dilla-studies. The whole album is a masterpiece, but my favorite is that spoken word-song by the female poet at the end...The Return to Innocence lost by Ursula Rucker.

That album changed my life. We didn’t have access to much hip-hop in rural Ireland but I saw them on the Jools Holland show playing the ‘next movement’. Next day I went to the cd shop and ordered it directly from the states. Cost 35 euros! Worth every cent
