When you are a true man of the people you don't need to get Police clearance to get people marching on the streets. Hundreds of people spontaneously poured into Masvingo CBD today to show their deep grief and bid farewell to CCC youth and Masvingo City Council parking marshal Augustine Rashirai who was killed in a traffic accident on Monday while on duty. Rashirai was a pillar of the opposition and a campaign manager for councilors Bernard Muchokwa and Mayor Aleck Tabe during the 2022 by-election and 2023 harmonsed elections. Rashirai will be buried near Morgenster Mission tomorrow. Public gatherings of more than 10 people without Police clearance are strictly not allowed in Zimbabwe but this one happened.
