Commuters on the Ngong route are reportedly being exploited by a conductor aboard the NANGKIS SACCO matatu who allegedly overcharges passengers and refuses to return the correct change. It is also claimed that the crew in the matatu is part of a group that intimidates passengers. Multiple reports suggest that several passengers have fallen victim to this alleged scheme. "Good morning Nyakundi. There is this NANGKIS bus plying route 111 (Ngong). The makanga inside there is robbing passengers by not returning balances for fares paid. He has just charged a young man 100 bob from Ngong to Kona after agreeing to take 50 bob when he boarded from Embulbul. He has robbed more than six others at a go. He has a gang of about three others inside the mat and he threatens to beat up passengers. We need to stop him and his gang. I know even if we can't, we can advise matatu users to avoid this crook. Please expose him. It's Christmas and we don't need thugs who make our lives harder, life in Kenya is already hard for the common mwananchi."
