💸🇵🇹 Mateus Fernandes, next Tottenham signing for club record £85m fixed fee. #THFC

£85m for Fernandes on £250k a week just doesn’t add up. We’re trying to escape the old mistakes like Sancho, yet some fans wanted us in a bidding war with Spurs? I'm sorry, not buying it. The same people would still complain if he became our marquee signing at that price. We’re not Chelsea as they can splash that kind of money because they’re in a stronger financial position and actually profit from selling players. Meanwhile we struggle to get £20m for Rashford, Onana is on his second loan, and Ugarte is staying for another year. I rate Fernandes highly, but United made the right call here.

Thanks fab we can be friends again

Manchester United fans since the Mateus Fernandes announcement 📢

Manchaster united watching other teams over pay for players this season

Once again Let us all laugh at Manchester United for bottling this

Who are United’s main alternatives now?

Imagine paying £85m for a midfielder who literally just got relegated. Classic Tottenham—paying a premium to bring a Championship-level player into a club that’s been fighting off the drop for two years straight. Enjoy the 'record-breaking' rebuild while you prepare for another mid-table scrap. As for United, it’s honestly impressive how they’ve managed to turn 'not getting fleeced' into a personality trait. Imagine bragging about 'not matching the valuation' of a player who plays for a team that finished below you, only to let a club in a relegation dogfight snap them up. Both clubs are just two different sides of the same dysfunctional coin

A relegation bound player for €85m is a pure robbery by West Ham. I'd pick Tanaka of Leeds United over him

It’s okay. Stop milking and making me feel bad

They've been fighting relegation for two seasons running, then signed a player who's been relegated twice. Spurs are clearly preparing for life in the Championship.

Tottenham has been making really solid additions all summer. As an Arsenal fan, their additions don't worry me, but De Zerbi being in charge of these additions worries me a little. I respect him a lot, one of my favorite managers fr.

85 million to save them from relegation next season 🤣🤣

With the way the market is going Fermin Lopez should be around 150 million.

Westham right now counting their kill on the sale of matheus Fernandes.

Westham after scumming spurs

Spurs won without United making a bid 😂😂🤡

Fernandes what have you done

Bro what?????? Matheus ….you had the chance to play with the gret Bruno fernandes and baller Kobbie Mainoo and you decide to go to spurs? Does he know Manchester United is winning the league next season??? Na this pained me!! I was rooting for you here! But anyways see you on the other side!

Manchester tears will be all over the TL now like Lagos flood

I can't believe Spurs can beat Man utd to a player

@kamalithegoat But to be honest, I am wondering why every player being bought is having a very high fee

My heart skipped a beat, I thought Bruno 😂

We have heard that before. It's okay please

£85 million for a player who has been relegated two seasons in a row is absolutely mental market madness! 🤯📉

You have to record yourself doing this The money is worth it.

£85mil for a relegation player , games gone

1France 🇫🇷 2-0 tonight. No objections from anyone.

@Nkoskhodola_23 Exactly what I said Manchester United lost its influence and now more rejections are coming. This is just the start

The new Manchester United is no gonna over pay for random players anymore Look the Club was very careful last summer and its new transfer policy is thst they're gonna sign players who love playing for the badge

Tottenham have more pull than “We are in the Champions League” FC
