Wonderful. A math hack that adds extra work.

There are usually a few really good ways to get a job done. Sometimes there is only one good way to do it. This method is one of the innumerable bad ways that is worse than nothing. Is this common core math or something even worse for kids?

I don't need that; I have to be able to do the math in my head.

Just do it in your head. It's not that difficult.

If you need a 31-second "hack" for this, you will never be good at math.

Hardly a hack if you can do it in your head..!

It is a lost of time, it can be done directly and it works only for expression like (a+b)(c+d). What about the calculation of : (ax+by²+cz)(dxy+ex²y+fxy²) with this method ?
