The temperature was high in the #Leafs-#Flyers 1999 first-round series after Sandy McCarthy of #Philadelphia accused Tie Domi of calling him the ‘N’ word. All hell broke loose the following game at Air Canada Centre. The Philly announcers were not pleased with Domi. At the Daytona 500 in February of 2001 Dale Earnhardt Sr. hit the wall at the end and tragically lost his life. In July NASCAR returned for the first time. It was the first BIG race I went to. I had been to the pocono infield many times but this was Daytona. I was a Jimmy Spencer fan at that point but what I saw that night left me speechless and teary eyed. I watched a man take the victory at a track that took his dad's life. Every one in that place was a junior fan that night. It is absolutely one of my most fond memories.

My cousins and my brother and I were exploring Coney Island, we saw the sights, hung out at the arcades and before we went back to the apartment we decided to go and get something to eat, we had some money on us but not much so we decided to see what we could get at one of the vendors. This was back in the early 90’s when most of them had dollar slices of pizza wherever we went. So we got 4 pieces of pizza, should have been $4 because that’s the price we were used to. The guy wanted to charge us $24 at $6 a slice. We argues with him because one of my cousins already took a bite being so hungry. But at the least we owed $4. We gave the other slices back and refused them but had to pay for the partially eaten one, it was embarrassing that an adult would try that on a bunch of kids. We told our uncle what happened and he went back and yelled at the vendor. He was familiar with them because he used to get slices all the time from the same guy and he never charged my uncle that price. I couldn’t imagine paying that exurban amount, like this guy who was being charged $54 for a hotdog by one of the vendors. At first he thought it was a typo and it was $5.40 but the vendor. Learned it up when he said no it was $54. Would you have paid that amount? I would have walked away, clearly he was trying to possibly scam a the man for looking like a tourist. Part of the experience when visiting a new area is the street food but it’s becoming more and more a chore avoiding places like this.

Scott Hall killed a man. At age 25, Hall was bartending at a strip club when a man confronted him at his workplace after discovering Hall was dating the man's wife. A fight broke out, and when the man reached for his gun, a struggle ensued. Hall managed to seize the weapon and shot the man in the head. steven talking about the time he saw iu’s bleuming lyrics at the same filming location he had back in the day 🦊: you know, i really like IU sunbaenim's songs a lot~ back in the day, there was this shoot i had to do and the day before, IU sunbaenim had a filming there (in the same location). and there was this a4 paper so i looked at it and at the top it said 'blueming' and the lyrics were written all the way down.. but since it was just lyrics, there was no lee jieun written, no IU sunbaenim or anything like that either, so i was just like 'what is this? no way...' but in the song lyrics there was.. jieun—anyway sunbaenim's name was written on it. yeah so i was like 'ah i think this is it' but even after realizing that i didn't really get that flutter of excitement or anything. because i didn't know the song so i was just like 'ah the lyrics are good~' and that was it. and i probably tore that paper and threw it away 🐯: you did really well, you disposed it on her behalf 🦊: ㅎㅎㅎㅎ it's cute and funny how steven just tore up the paper since the song wasn't released yet at the time ᄏᄏᄏᄏ #아홉 #AHOF #스티븐 #STEVEN

Peak SHM scenes at Arthur Ashe last night First time seeing them in an arena/stadium setting since MSG 2022 (still my goat show). Production was like a renewed version of the PA tour ring and the tracklist was about what I would’ve predicted (aside from the Not Yesterday revival) but I could hear those tracks/mashups a million times and would not get tired of it First time a concert like this has happened at Arthur Ashe. The 360 setup was sick but they ended up only facing to one side (I was in center court seats so that’s why there’s minimal people in front). The sound was 6/10 but I’m also not surprised given the 360 setup. And the crowd (at least by me) was 4/10 but also not surprised given it was all ages Round 2 at K Bridge tn Swedish House Mafia

Wonderful stuff, here, from the #CBS Sunday afternoon Game-of-the-Week on Mar. 10, 1968. Begins with a great, ice-level view of #Chicago Stadium and ends with Johnny Bower stoning the #Blackhawks. It was an emotional week for hockey in #Toronto after the #Leafs traded Frank Mahovlich to #Detroit. The previous night, Mahovlich had returned to the Gardens with the #RedWings. The Big M, almost predictably, opened the scoring on a breakaway, beating Bruce Gamble with a backhand deke. After falling behind, 4-0, the Leafs rallied for a wild, 7-5 win. Dad took me to the game; I had turned nine the previous month. Mike Walton scored on a third-period penalty shot. The next afternoon, in Chicago, he took another penalty shot, but was stopped by Jack Norris. #LeafsForever

I have been a #NJDevils fan since the late 80s and started going to Devils games in the early 90s before becoming a season ticket holder in 2000.
