Umagang-umaga, ‘yan ‘yung madadatnan ko? Kung sino man ang nag-dump ng kitten dito kahapon: Shame on you," saad ni Rensi Pua, miyembro ng grupong Cats of BGC, isang cat welfare group na binubuo ng volunteers. Aniya, niligaw ang kuting sa lugar at namatay rin sa loob ng isang araw. Isang mabuting loob daw ang nakakita sa patay na kuting at nagsilid nito sa garbage bag. "Huwag naman kayong iresponsable. Panindigan n’yo kung mayroon kayong pusa. Kung may pusa kayo, ipa-neuter n’yo, ipa-spay n’yo. Ang dami namang libre diyan eh. Tapos kung nagkaroon ng kitten hindi n’yo kayang panindigan?" dagdag ni Pua. Sa panayam ng GMA Integrated News, nasa 300 pusa ang pinapakain ng volunteers ng Cats of BGC bawat araw. "We feed, monitor the health of, spot new cats, and organize TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccine-Return) programs," ibinahagi ni Pua tungkol sa grupo. "We post cats for adoption and screen adopters. We post cat welfare content. We fundraise through merchandise sales to pay the bills for TNVR and vets. We foster when possible in our homes," dagdag niya.
