May have built something my brain needs

Didn’t expect this to get this much attention, so thank you! Since my ADHD diagnosis I started using reminders a lot more consistently. I create reminders with Siri on my way to work, on the go, and when I’m just chilling. Apple reminders is the one I landed on because it’s native, allows reminders to be linked to a location, has good Siri support, and comes built into the products I use out of the box. The Siri part is debatable but you get what I mean. On top of that: - I rarely use widgets on macOS because I forget they exist. Out of sight, out of mind. - The new reminder flow in Raycast is sadly a little janky. This is how I initially tried to solve this problem but it still had the “out of sight” issue. - It’s fun to build

Thank God we no longer live in the Stone Age where we had to physically type our own tasks into task managers. This video triggered some hardcore PTSD, but it’s an important reminder of how hard our ancestors had it. We should remind ourselves every day how blessed we are to live in a world where we no longer have to type things ourselves and can simply talk to the computer instead.

There’s no repo yet but I’ll have a look!

if it uses .md storage even better so can be easily modified by talking to gents (agents).

It uses Apple reminders which agents can talk to as well

Barrie doesn't have its own storage, things go straight into and out of the Reminders app. But Reminders has a connector with Claude (maybe Codex too) so you can let agents interact with it that way

Looks great! I have build something pretty similar to this. I can recommend connecting it to Obsidian or similar and let Claude run schedules across your input to support on todo’s, actions, etc
