Maybe it's just me, but Lori Alexander doesn't make a very compelling case for staying in a Christ-centered marriage.

At the end of your life, there are no medals handed out for staying in a horrible marriage Church teachings on suffering, perseverance, and duty sometimes commingle with complex trauma to create some of the most tragic outcomes

If she wasn't attracted to him then why did she get married? That's on her

That’s so sad no wonder she’s so bitter online

I wonder how her husband feels about what she is saying. It has to hurt to know your wife was never/and still is not/attracted to you and only does her "duty" for you. Sounds like a really passive-aggressive way to get back at him.

Wow, that sounds miserable. She was never excited by her husband, didn't find him attractive, yet still married him and had a "rough" first 20 years.

Rule of thumb: marriage shouldn’t feel like subjugation. I honestly feel sad for her.

I feel terrible for her husband. How awful!

I’m trying to warn the men.

Yikes, just listen to her story. It's worse than I expected it to be. Her husband didn't take the trouble to woo or win her or even buy her a ring. She didn't feel attracted to him. If this is what we promote as Christ-centered marriage, no wonder some couples are messed up.

Wait until you learn about how she compares sex to him with cleaning a toilet.

It's haram to build a snowman! You heard the guy. A snowman is "VERY DANGEROUS." Allah doesn't like snowmen. But Mohammed and Aisha's marriage? That's OK. Totally halaal!⛄️🚫
