Maybe some coaches will chime in on this…. But this is how I’m seeing it right now. I think you’re going to see more and more two way guys coming on the scene in college baseball. Here is why. The rosters are going down to 34 man rosters. You... will be needing 2-4 guys who can eat up an inning or two and be able to produce in the field and at the plate. Those numbers may be even higher than that. Years ago when a college told you- you can two way, it typically meant we are brining you in, youll have a short leash and your most likely going to be a PO. Now it’s a legit thing. Schools will need much more versatility- If you can pitch and hit AND play multiple spots on the field. Your stock will rise this year and years beyond. Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as “big daddy” to “help us”. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU “volunteering” to “leave” by 60, to “help out” CanadaPod style. “Brian, I’m 24 what do I do?”. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. When you see videos like this posted below, know one thing: Many of these folks had no real family of mental and physical support. Maybe no parent or one parent. Maybe only a broke system to prepare them for—nothing. This was not their doing. Now it is not your “job” to help them, it is your survival to help them if that is what you need. See some day after the dust settles these 20 year olds will be 40 year olds and running YOUR world. And at some point you may need them more than you think you do. You will need them, as they need you now. THIS IS WHAT PAST WISDOM KNEW. The elders of the past never found the need to piss on the youth and hope for the best. THE YOUTH ARE OUR BEST, let us all find ways to change it, even if every aspect of “the system” wants us to berate them into the ground.

Enjoy this journey while you can. There will be a day when you don’t have anyone to throw with or lift with or play pickup racquetball and then hit the sauna after with. There will be a day when you can’t immediately roll from your workout into breakfast/lunch/dinner with 8 of your best friends. There will be a day when disputes cannot be settled with a game of madden, 2K or the show. You will realize that showing up late for work pales in comparison to the fear you had about showing up late to the field or the weight room. You can say that you’ll still train hard, keep yourself in shape, hold YOURSELF accountable. It’s easy to say when you have a goal you’re working towards with a collective group. But when you don’t have that, damn it gets hard. So enjoy it. Take advantage of the time and the energy. For some guys it happens after 6 years of pro ball. For others it happens after 4 years of college. But it will leave you. Let me repeat that: IT WILL LEAVE YOU AND IT SUCKS WHEN IT DOES.

3 reasons using way too much weight (ego lifting) is stupid: 1) You get less in the way of stimulus and more in the way of fatigue…this is an L 2) You are more likely to get injured…this is an L 3) It may look impressive when you load up a lot of weight but if someone IS actually paying attention to you once you begin your set (as I’ve said on many occasions in the past…most aren’t), your not being able to actually handle the weight you loaded with good technique will result in you looking like a clown rather than some badass that’s really strong…this is an L All that said…WHY ON GOD’S GREEN EARTH are you loading up more weight than you can handle and using shit technique???

Will you get up for early AM lifts and not just drag yourself there but arrive happy and energized, eager to work and motivate your teammates? 2. Are you ready to miss family events—weddings, birthdays and be separated from your parents for longer than you ever have before? 3. Can you manage every aspect of your life for the first time by yourself, before you even throw in the rigors and demands of a sport? 4. Can you survive in an environment where you are defined by your sport and have very little social life existence outside of athletic and academic obligations? 5. Can you handle the mental challenge of going from the super star to possibly bottom of the roster, sitting on the bench, and/or not traveling with the team? 6. Will you be genuinely happy for your roommate who is getting all the playing time and attention while you’re getting none? If all answers are a resounding YES than you are built for this, but it’s not for everyone. And actually not for most. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. It’s about short-term sacrifice for the long-term win. You can do anything for a few months, even a few years to set yourself up for a lifetime of success. You have to live on less than you make in order to pay off debt, in order to save and invest, in order to be generous. You can’t spend more than you make and end up anywhere except bankruptcy court. And people are doing it every day, everywhere. The stuff I talk about is not hard to understand. It’s very hard to actually go and do it. You’ve got to decide you’re going to DO it. Day in and day out, you’ve drawn a line in the sand, and you are NOT going back. No more excuses. You’re taking control of your actions and your life. You’re ready to make your money work for YOU, not the other way around. Are you ready to change your life?

Good morning and where do I start? I’m so proud of the man you’re becoming and I’m so thankful to have you in my life. The first player I met and the first player I had dinner with after I became the receivers coach at Baylor. Good morning and where do I start? I’m so proud of the man you’re becoming and I’m so thankful to have you in my life. The first player I met and the first player I had dinner with after I became the receivers coach at Baylor. Yes I’m speaking it into existence but it’s also the feeling I have when I tell you God truly has a calling on your life. The person you are lets me know the lord is and will continue to bless you more than you can imagine. I love you like a son, little brother, nephew, etc…. Played receiver for a big time program like Baylor, played in the NFL, from the great state of Texas but more importantly a GREAT person and man of God. So you have all the tools you need to be successful in this coaching profession but more importantly LIFE! I’m so thankful to be a part of your journey. I’m going to do EVERYTHING in my power with the help of God to make sure you succeed. I told you this and I truly believe it. You’re the next great coach/receivers coach. THE FINAL STRETCH BEFORE EVERYTHING CHANGES….💫🛸💫 💥Note to Anons- Patriots: You have been through more than you let on, more than anyone knows, the sleepless nights, the relatives, friends and strangers that laughed at you. Moments you questioned yourself-times you had nothing left; but still chose to believe. You held on when others folded. You stayed when it would of been easier to walk away. That makes you rare, dangerous and destined. “You may not feel it right now,” but this is THE FINAL STRETCH before everything changes. There will come a day when you sit in stillness and remember the version of you who refused to “Give Up.” The one who showed up broke, exhausted and ridiculed; but never let go of the vision. That day is coming—and when it does you will cry; not because you are hurting-because it all finally made sense. All the pain, doubt, delays and all the missed exits. It wasn’t punishment; It was preparation. You weren’t meant to get rich fast, You were meant to become someone “Unshakable.” You are awake,alive and know this matters. Now, you’re too far in to turn around and way too close to fold under pressure. The storm is loud but your intuition is louder and it’s been screaming from the beginning; “Hold On-Just Hold.” This moment is once in a lifetime, you won’t see it again. NOT LIKE THIS-NOT AT THIS PRICE-NOT WITH THIS SETUP. So breathe, trust your gut, Silence the noise and when this ends-when it finally ENDS-you’ll be the one they come to asking “HOW YOU KNEW?” And you’ll smile 🙂because deep down, way down; “YOU ALWAYS KNEW.” I’m proud of you, you’re almost there; Finish The Mission-I Love You.

Please believe this: No matter what kind of difficulties you are facing, as long as you have true faith in God, God will let you see amazing results. God says, “When you have faith that you will see His actions in your practical experience, then God will appear to you, and He will enlighten and guide you from within. Without that faith, God will be unable to do that. If you have lost hope in God, how will you be able to experience His work? Therefore, only when you have faith and you do not harbor doubts toward God, only when you have true faith in Him no matter what He does, will He enlighten and illuminate you through your experiences, and only then will you be able to see His actions. These things are all achieved through faith. Faith comes only through refinement, and in the absence of refinement, faith cannot develop. What does this word, “faith,” refer to? Faith is the genuine belief and the sincere heart that humans should possess when they cannot see or touch something, when God’s work does not align with human notions, when it is beyond human reach. This is the faith that I speak of. People are in need of faith during times of hardship and refinement, and faith is something that is followed by refinement; refinement and faith cannot be separated. No matter how God works, and no matter your environment, you are able to pursue life and seek the truth, and seek knowledge of God’s work, and have an understanding of His actions, and you are able to act according to the truth. Doing so is what it is to have true faith, and doing so shows that you have not lost faith in God. You can only have true faith in God if you are able to persist in pursuing the truth through refinement, if you are able to truly love God and do not develop doubts about Him, if no matter what He does you still practice the truth to satisfy Him, and if you are able to seek in the depths for His will and be considerate of His will. In the past, when God said that you would reign as a king, you loved Him, and when He openly showed Himself to you, you pursued Him. But now God is hidden, you cannot see Him, and troubles have come upon you—do you then now lose hope in God? So, you must at all times pursue life and seek to satisfy God’s will. This is called genuine faith, and this is the truest and most beautiful kind of love.”"

This seems like it would be on an episode of “I Shouldn’t Be Alive,” you and your friend go to the mall to get a nice outfit for an outing later. The department you need to go to is on the second floor, so you and your friend decide it would be quicker to go on the escalator. All of a sudden as you are approaching the middle of the escalator, you hear the escalator come to a screeching halt. You and your friend are now stranded in the middle of the escalator. Every second counts, it’s been two hours now since you’ve had food or water since you e been stuck on the escalator and time is ticking, do you risk an escape plan?
