Sivasri & I were overwhelmed with the outpouring of love & blessings we received on Sunday. We had made, to the best of our abilities, all arrangements, but the number of people who turned up far exceeded what we had anticipated, only showing how much you love us. People from all walks of life, across socioeconomic strata, people who were elderly, people with kids in their arms, divyangjan, seniors as old as 95 coming in wheelchairs - everybody came & blessed us. Many of you also patiently waited in the queue for more than two hours. Some could come up to the dais & greet, while many blessed us from wherever they were present in the reception hall. We regret the inconvenience that happened. But we truly value your blessings. It left me wondering when I came back - what have we done to deserve so much love & affection & how we can repay it. The only way is by re-dedicating ourselves selflessly to the cause of our country, our culture, & our people. Sivasri & I promise to put in an incredible amount of hard work in our respective fields & contribute immensely to this great nation. We once again thank you & apologize for any inconvenience that you may have faced. Sivasri Skandaprasad 🇮🇳

Twenty-four notes should be the stronghold of Memorial Day of our country. Every time we hear the 24 notes, it reminds us that the freedom we have today to be here, the freedom that we have to go home at night, the freedom we have to worship, the freedom we have to speak freely in public, the freedom that we have to disagree with our government — comes from those 24 notes. Do not ever pass by those 24 notes. For each note can take a memory, a life, a family member, a service. A service that was rendered, a service that was kept. It’s a reminder that we only have one chance to get it right when we honor those that have given so much to us.
