There's a lot of things that were sad about it. But I think the relationship with Steve Cohen and his wife Alex, how great they were to me and my family. Getting to play that short time in New York was incredible. I still have my apartment in the city. There's not a lot of positives. I made some great relationships there. I think another thing that I appreciate was getting the chance to play with Max again, kind of rekindle that relationship after some years away. Just a lot of growth. I don’t hate the Proctor pick, I actually like the player. I had a few guys over him at that point that I really had my heart on. Passing on Downs hurt, then I thought for sure it would be Vega. With that being said Sully was convicted on Proctor and stuck to his guns. Chris Johnson was a guy I wanted and LOVE the pick. He’ll be a day one starter. The board is still loaded with a ton of talent and Sully can do a lot of good still. Let’s get aggressive tonight and go get some guys!

Oh that’s why he mentioned it during the live from March 3rd😕 🦊 From after No Labels Part 1 ended, through awards season up until now… it honestly has been pretty hard. I’ve kind of been struggling the whole time 🦊 How should I say this… I had burnout come and go a few times and these days I’ve had a lot of worries and a lot on my mind but my thoughts wouldn’t organize themselves, that’s why I’ve been talking with a lot of people and listening to them and while doing that, I’ve been sorting out my thoughts little by little. I’ve also been facing parts of myself that I used to avoid or couldn’t look at 🦊 While doing that, I feel like these days I’m recovering little by little in a healthier and cooler way and since I know that this kind of pain can also be meaningful, in a way it feels like a positive kind of pain so I think it’s okay 🦊 If I get the chance, I’d like to talk about it in more detail someday 🦊 Anyway, those are the thoughts I’ve had

I like keeping this one vulnerable and matter-of-fact. Something like this: Today was hard. I got a Starbucks coffee. Not because I “fell off the wagon.” Not because I’ve given up. Because I’m human. This season of my life has been a lot heavier than I expected. I come home to an empty apartment. I’m trying to figure out who I am after 32 years of raising kids. Some days that freedom feels peaceful. Other days it feels incredibly lonely. I’m learning how to sit with those emotions instead of eating my way through them. Am I proud that I bought the coffee? Not really. Am I proud that I’m still here, still fighting, still choosing to keep going instead of turning one hard moment into a week-long binge? Absolutely. Recovery isn’t about being perfect. It’s about getting up again tomorrow.
