The very first day on the job there was a mid-air collision at Reagan National and the brilliant reassurance we got from your team was that “airplanes running into each other is not standard.” For the record, there’s no such thing as a “near miss.” a nearness is a collision. If they don’t, the technical term is Near Mid-Air Collision (NMAC). Words matter in aviation safety. He did not blow $80 billion on DEI and climate change. What he did was invest $80 billion in ensuring opportunities to hire the best people available and in renewable, alternative energy sources to strengthen the grid and reduce costs, as has been demonstrated repeatedly in states like Texas and Florida. He also did not lower FAA Academy standards. What actually happened under your administration was worse: you took away the requirement for some hires even to attend the Academy at all. The FAA Academy isn’t where the job is decided, it’s where baseline training happens. The real metrics are in on-the-job training, and those standards have not been reduced, nor are they set by Pete Buttigieg. “Obsessed with pronouns” is a nonsense throwaway line. It means nothing, except showing your ignorance. What does matter is that the majority of delays in the NAS aren’t because of Pete, or the ATC, but because of convective weather, thunderstorms. Forecasting that requires qualified meteorologists, and this administration has been cutting the resources actually needed to predict and route traffic around those storms. Now, if you want to talk about accomplishments, here are some facts about what Secretary Buttigieg has delivered for aviation and safety: 1.Record FAA Reauthorization – Oversaw bipartisan passage of a long-term FAA bill that strengthens staffing, safety, and modernization. 2.Historic Hiring Push – Supported the largest controller hiring push in decades, reversing the shortages that built up under the convicted felon. Modernization – Advanced NextGen programs including ADS-B, DataComm, and other tools to improve routing efficiency and reduce delays. 4.Passenger Protections – Issued first-ever rules requiring airlines to give automatic refunds for cancellations and delays, plus transparency on fees. It should be noted here that the president just took away this requirement because he doesn't care about the flying public or efficiency. Initiatives – Responded quickly to runway incursion spikes with new technology deployment, data-sharing requirements, and safety summits. 6.Infrastructure Investments – Directed billions from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law into airport modernization, new towers, and upgraded radar systems. Safety Leadership – Kept the U.S. in Category 1 safety status globally while partnering with ICAO and foreign ANSPs to raise standards. That’s actual work getting done. Unlike empty talking points, it improves safety, efficiency, and passenger experience. And I just like to reiterate this with a question, how exactly do we improve the passenger experience by taking away the passengers rights to compensation for excessive delays? You should get on a stage with Pete Buttigieg. I'd like to see how you match up talking about policy accomplishments.

If I recall correctly, Trump was the President before Biden. Why didn't he fix it then or are you saying the whole system broke down in 2022 ad was just fine until them. The US air traffic control system has faced serious problems due to aging infrastructure, outdated technology, and chronic underfunding for more than 30 years, with major issues reported since at least the late 1980s and early 1990s. Trump could have fixed it in 2018. This is why no one trusts or believes you. Your accusations are so outlandish only a true cult member could buy into it.
