McDonald’s did hit different in the 90’s.

I remember the cookies. They were the best.

The spoons got taken away because they were used for “other things” 😂

Styrofoam containers were the pinnacle of food containment.

The ashtrays were gold and silver too.

Bring back Styrofoam containers. They did a much better job of keeping your food hot than cardboard did.

They’ve never fried the fries in butter. 60 years ago they used beef tallow but they went away in the 70’s. McDLT was the best and needs to come back.

The McDonaldLand Cookies were absolutely everything, and I was a big fan of those Salad Shakers.

Have yet to taste a better apple pie than the fried apple pie at McDonalds.

Really didn’t appreciate those little spoons till i was an adult…

I worked at McDs in 84. Our location had a fireplace surrounded by 20 stools with a bar. They never used butter cooking fries. It was lard.

I still believe that the burgers were better quality even stacked up on the warming racks then they are now with the "just in time" making of the burgers. Burn buns smeared with ketchup on the outside and the cheese and meat half hanging out. And still have to wait for your food.

Yea and more than likely better ingredients than now

I had a McDonald's birthday back in 1989 & it was amazing! They hand delivered a delicous cake, provided streamers, party horns & above all that, fantastic service! Oh & smiles were free, but they took that off the menu unfortunately. Gone are those days...

The fries were not fried in butter.🤣 They were fried in beef tallow. It came in these big 50lb square boxes off the replenishment truck. We called them arm breakers because they came off the truck on rollers super fast to the downstairs basement where they were stored.

The apple and cherry pies were fried until the filling was approximately the temperature of the interior of the Sun. It scalded your mouth and it was glorious.

When they would deep fry the damn apple pies….my God! The smell in McDonald’s was even different
