@TheRealestWadup Murder for sure, the suspect had his back to him when he struck him after he complied. The security guard was then the aggressor

John and Mayme Surrency were murdered the day before Thanksgiving 1936. Garland Headley was tasked with prosecuting the three men involved. What he uncovered sent him and his family fleeing the United States. What did John and Mayme know that led to their murder?

Facts Murwanashyaka Francois, a 54-year-old security guard from Gaithersburg, was charged with murder following a shooting inside a McDonald’s near the University of Maryland, College Park, on March 1, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 8:25 p.m. at the McDonald’s located in the 2300 block of University Boulevard East, Hyattsville. Francois allegedly shot Ricardo Clemons Jr., a 45-year-old man with no known address, during a physical altercation inside the restaurant. According to police, the confrontation began when Francois asked Clemons to leave the premises due to loitering, a recurring issue as Clemons was a regular at the location and often asked to leave. Francois initially deployed pepper spray in Clemons’ face after he refused to exit. Five minutes later, the situation escalated into a physical struggle, during which Francois struck Clemons multiple times with a baton before shooting him once in the chest. The entire incident was captured on video, as noted in court documents. Clemons, who was unarmed, was found by Prince George’s County police with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Francois, employed by Strategic Security Corp. and possessing a permit to carry a firearm, was arrested and charged with murder. Court documents state that Francois initiated the physical encounter, making him responsible for Clemons’ death. Francois was ordered held without bond; no attorney was listed for him in the court file at the time of the report. Strategic Security Corp. declined to comment, and McDonald’s issued a statement expressing sadness over the “tragic incident.”

@TheRealestWadup That's sure not self-defense...

What in the hell was the security guard thinking?! Power tripping ass hat. 1. The victim posed no physical threat to the security guard. 2. The victim was unarmed. 3. The security guarded escalated the situation by pepper spraying and then striking the victim with a baton. 4. The victim then reacted in self-defense, trying to take the baton away from the security guard which the security guard then escalated further. 5. The security guard then eliminated the victim and traumatized everyone - including children - in the restaurant. I recommend life in prison. Security guard should never have had anything more than pepper spray, taser, and a baton. Not a fucking pistol. Especially inside a fucking McDonalds.

@TheRealestWadup He's going to prison for murder, his security company will pay lawsuit and McDonald's will be sued.

@TheRealestWadup This is just sad all round for everyone involved.

@TheRealestWadup Definitely murder since the security guy wasn't trying to deescalate...

@TheRealestWadup Go back to Africa, fucking grifting being civilised

@TheRealestWadup Maybe don't attack armed security guards?

@TheRealestWadup When a coward hold a gun...
