Wait.. does this mean I can simplify how much context grok bot needs to answer questions by passing all that work to a notion custom agent? I hate to pay the data traffic and context overhead just because of MCP limitations

Why would i need to have my agent ask the Notion agent for answers. Wouldnt i just ask my agent for that and search notion itself? Why keep the middle “agent” at all

Curious how it handles tool routing when two agents have overlapping schemas. Does the host model disambiguate, or do you have to explicitly @ mention them?

Custom agents joining the chat via MCP is the interoperability I've been waiting on. Fewer dead-end side panels, more actual handoff.

Having agents meet people where they already work makes the whole thing feel much more useful.

This looks cool. How is this working under the hood? A local daemon syncing chats in the event the Notion MCP is used?

The useful bit is the shared conversation boundary: an agent can hand off context without forcing a fresh prompt. I’d want explicit tool scopes per agent, otherwise MCP turns delegation into a permission leak.

Nice—does this mean the Custom Agents inherit the same MCP tools as the main chat, or do they have their own tool scope? Curious how you handle permissions there.

MCP gives agents capability. The next question is: why give the agent the credential too? Capability ≠ credential possession. That’s the security boundary we’re testing with ShadowPaste.

"Has MCP" gets you through the front door; "can send this template" decides whether you finish the job. Is this missing from the tool schema, or does the call fail? I’m building Can My Agent Use, and that distinction would make the guide more useful.
