Farmers, however, are typically supplying at around US$4.00 per kilogram. If you have a goat that produces 17 kg of meat, that translates to approximately US$68.00 at farm-gate price. If you manage to break records and sell at US$6.00 per kilogram, with a goat yielding 20 kg of meat, you could make US$120.00 per goat. To make US$1,000, you would need to sell about 14 goats per month. That is roughly 176 goats per year to achieve US$12,000.00. This highlights one important thing: scaling matters. A loan is not free money simply because you leave it sitting in your account.
