Meat bird processing day, week 2 edition. This second group was about 80 chickens, and it was an all day affair, but overall went really well. The packaged chickens turned out great and averaged about 4 lbs 5 ounces per finished bird.

I prefer to pay a processer to do the dirty work. I am just too soft.

The most I've done at once is maybe half that, me slaughtering, scalding, and feathering, my then-girlfriend eviscerating, etc. Could usually get it done over the course of a long morning but was definitely glad when it was done.

I wonder how many plastic particles are left on the chicken after this method of defeathering.
