Stupid. And the diameter of the cable is way too small to use it as a starter battery. You can power LED strips this way, but that's basically it.

Putting flame near lead/acid batteries is a bad idea.

What kind of battery is it? Is it a European battery? What's it used for? That certainly isn't for a car battery, the wire gauge (looks about 18 gauge at the largest) is way too small for that, a car battery would burn that wire up with all the current it would deliver.

This is super stupid. Acid flooded batteries have vapor that is explosive (flammable) and that connection cable size would not hold the amperage required to start a car without burning out (again) into a fire. Who made that video the CCP? WC2025

An even more brilliant solution: Buy a frikken battery cable clamp.

Why not just use a battery terminal. This method isn’t going to be very useful and the connection is extremely weak. If you’re mechanic does this he isn’t a mechanic he’s a idiot

That is not an auto cable, it is a wire and way too small to be used on an automobile. So this "mechanic" is certainly not an auto mechanic. And it doesn't matter what size the wire or cable is, there are metal connectors made to do it correctly.

Or you could just use the usual clamp that comes with the vehicle battery cable. A few turns of a nut or screw and you're done. Wait until the plastic heats up and burns, starting an engine fire. Then you'll wish you hadn't Jerry-rigged it.

What's that wire gonna power? The radio? Certainly not a starter. No mechanic I know would do this. I wouldn't do this(over 20 years experience with all makes/models)
