Windshield wiper motors are a Halloween engineer’s secret weapon they deliver high torque at low speed, perfect for creating lifelike, rhythmic motions in animatronics. Early Disney “Audio-Animatronics” in the 1960s also used repurposed automobile wiper motors to make characters move smoothly the same principle behind this creepy, headless zombie’s realistic sway.

Windshield wiper motors... brilliant upcycling! I love when engineers get creative with common parts.
