Windshield wiper motors are a Halloween engineer’s secret weapon they deliver high torque at low speed, perfect for creating lifelike, rhythmic motions in animatronics. Early Disney “Audio-Animatronics” in the 1960s also used repurposed automobile wiper motors to make characters move smoothly the same principle behind this creepy, headless zombie’s realistic sway.

Windshield wiper motors... brilliant upcycling! I love when engineers get creative with common parts.

THAT WAS MY MAJOR N COLLEGE 🎓 MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. BECAUSE I LOVE 2 BUILD THINGS.

That zombie movement is seriously creepy! The timing on the gearing is spot on. 🤯

Impressive stuff , bro won Halloween

Nerds really do make the world a better place

This is absolutely incredible! The creativity and engineering behind this swinging zombie robot are mind-blowing. Love how you've repurposed windshield wiper motors to create such a spooky, realistic motion. Happy Halloween!
