UPDATE: A postgraduate student at the Rivers State University was allegedly assàulted by a senior lecturer, Prof. Pepple, while giving a Christian talk in a Year 1 Computer Engineering class during a free period. The senior lecturer from the Department of Physics and former DVC, entered the room and allegedly slãpped the student multiple times, pulled his shirt, and verbally harassed him before contacting campus security. The student was detained by security from morning until night and is now reportedly in poor health. Fellow students are demanding an independent investigation into the incident.

Rowdy, a 26-year-old gelding (about 80 in human years) owned by Melinda Miller, enjoys natural hydrotherapy each summer at Lake Pleasant, Arizona. He swims and floats in the lake to relieve his arthritis. The buoyancy of the water provides joint relief without the impact of land exercise. One year his owner added a floatie over his head. Rowdy learned to relax comfortably without his head submerging. Videos of the senior horse floating have made him a local celebrity.
