Medicaid was designed to help disabled and non-able-bodied individuals. Unfortunately, Medicaid is being ABUSED by able-bodied Americans and states who are gaming the system. Congress has the DUTY to reform Medicaid.

Medicaid’s original mission—to protect society’s most vulnerable—has been hijacked by bureaucratic bloat and systemic exploitation. The ACA’s expansion redirected billions from disabled Americans, seniors, and low-income children to cover able-bodied adults via income-based eligibility alone. This shift created perverse incentives: states now game federal matching funds while providers exploit loose billing standards. Reform must start with per-capita caps to end blank-check funding and eligibility rollbacks refocusing Medicaid on its core mission: aiding those truly unable to work—not subsidizing states’ fiscal recklessness or provider profiteering. Until then, taxpayers fund a broken system that fails both recipients and contributors.

Here’s a rundown of Trump’s health policy stances and his potential top priorities in a second administration.

@Steph93065 Expanding Medicaid in states was the dumbest idea.

SS disability is too, everyone knows at least one person drawing disability, and I guess they get Medicaid too, that can seem to do everything they want except work a job.

Medicaid was also designed to help the extremely poor. Those are the same people who you denied help to when you voted against increasing the minimum wage. Stop treating Medicaid recipients as if they’re lazy as a justification to cut taxes on the rich.

The best solution would be to cap the FMAP at 50% for all states (both standard and expanded), and stop allowing states to play games (provider tax, etc.) to juice up their reimbursement. States cover the other 50 percent, and it gives them an incentive to make the program as fraud-free as possible, and focus on the most needy in their states. Oh, and capping the FMAP at 50 percent will save about $80 billion a year.

also abused by illigals and refugies as a back door to receive health insurance.

congress can't fix shit... DOGE will have to fix it.. get out of the way loser

.@chiproytx PLEASE use Nevada as an example. Did you know Republican Gov. @JosephMLombardo signed gender-affirming care into law in Nevada, ensuring Medicaid covers treatments like hormone therapy & surgeries? Where’s the @GOP outrage? Nevada’s Medicaid is now paying for more than just the disabled & non-able-bodied. Here’s what else it covers for able-bodied adults: - Routine Check-ups & Preventive Care – Physicals, screenings, and immunizations. - Family Planning Services – Birth control, counseling, & preconception care. - Mental Health Counseling – Therapy for stress, depression, & anxiety. - Substance Abuse Treatment – Detox, rehab, & recovery programs. - Prescription Drugs – Coverage for meds beyond just life-threatening conditions. - Emergency Room Visits – No-pay urgent care for non-disabled recipients. - Home Health Services – In-home care for those who aren’t disabled. Medicaid was meant for the truly needy, yet Nevada is handing out taxpayer-funded benefits to able-bodied adults under the guise of "equity." Congress has a DUTY to reform Medicaid & stop the abuse. Time to ask Gov. Lombardo: Why are Nevada’s hardworking taxpayers funding gender surgeries & expanded welfare for able-bodied adults?

@Noopdoggy05 Good night Have sweet dreams
