New research presented at the Nutrition 2026 conference reviewed nearly 2,800 food products for young children across 21 grocery stores in Texas. It found that about 81 percent of the foods made for children between 6 and 36 months old are ultra-processed. The researchers also reported that nearly half of these products did not meet the nutrition standards set by the World Health Organization. They say many of these foods are high in added sugar and additives, and they encourage parents to read the labels and choose whole foods when possible.

Somebody needs to remind TK Ncinza, Lebogang Maile and the Alex Mafia that the ANC in Gauteng did not win the Elections. The electorate rejected them! It looks like the penny hasn't dropped. They act as though they won an election & Gauteng belongs to them. The residents of Gauteng according to voting results want a proper GNU style provincial government. Until this happens Gauteng will remain unstable and the ANC will pay a very heavy price come 2026 local government elections. Luthuli House must intervene and urgently get a Provincial Government of Unity made up of ANC,DA,IFP and other partners of GNU and this must extend to municipalities especially City of Jhb to try and save JHB CBD This is what Hillbrow looks like:
