I just closed a $70,000 deal with help from 10 Hermes agents Here is how it happened: A couple of months ago, one of my clients asked me to review their IT spending. The biggest surprise was Atlassian. They were using Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and several paid plugins because the built in reporting and time tracking were not meeting their needs. With more than 300 users, they were spending around $140,000 every year. They had been paying that for six years. That is roughly $840,000. So I asked them: “If I build something that replaces most of these tools, improves the workflows your team struggles with, and cuts your bill in half, would you pay me $70,000 per year?” They said yes. So I put 10 Hermes agents to work For the next month, they worked alongside me for almost 8 hours a day. About half of the code was built using Fable 5 and the other half using Opus 4.8. I spent approximately $11,000 on tokens :P That sounds expensive until you compare it with a $70,000 yearly contract and a product I can now offer to other companies. One month later, the product was ready. The client loved it and gave me the green light to open it to the public and it's my code :) I called it Kapvel Kapvel includes: • Project management and Jira ticket imports • A full service desk with a customer portal • Built in time tracking and reporting • Documents with real time collaboration • Spreadsheets, presentations, and whiteboards • Electronic signatures and approvals • QA test case management • A dedicated UAT portal • GitHub, Bitbucket, and GitLab integrations • Pull request workflows inside the same platform • Custom themes and branded portals The part I am most excited about is what happens when someone submits a support ticket to me: My Hermes agents can immediately review the request, investigate the issue, and start working on a solution. Kapvel is basically: Jira + Confluence + DocuSign + Everhour + QA + UAT All inside one platform, with simpler pricing and fewer third party plugins. Building a multi-agent system with agents built or used by different teams and organizations can become challenging. You may need to write custom integrations each time a team updates their agent design or changes their choice of agentic orchestration framework. The Agent Communication Protocol (ACP) is an open protocol that addresses this challenge by standardizing how agents communicate, using a unified RESTful interface that works across frameworks. In this protocol, you host an agent inside an ACP server, which handles requests from an ACP client and passes them to the appropriate agent. Using a standardized client-server interface allows multiple teams to reuse agents across projects. It also makes it easier to switch between frameworks, replace an agent with a new version, or update a multi-agent system without refactoring the entire system. In this course, you’ll learn to connect agents through ACP. You’ll understand the lifecycle of an ACP Agent and how it compares to other protocols, such as MCP (Model Context Protocol) and A2A (Agent-to-Agent). My biggest takeaways from Dhanji Prasanna, CTO of Block: 1. Block’s internal AI agent "Goose" is saving employees on average 8 to 10 hours per week. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei just revealed the hidden bottleneck that will kill most AI companies in the next 18 months (Save this). The insight comes from a principle in computer science called Amdahl's Law. Dario's argument is simple when something starts working really well inside an organization, you have to immediately ask what isn't working well around it. Amdahl's Law states that the maximum speedup of any system is capped by the fraction you haven't improved and that applies to companies just as brutally as it applies to processors. If you can suddenly write three or four times as many pull requests as before, you don't get three or four times the output but you rather get a pile of code no one can review, verify, or trust. The data makes this impossible to ignore. Teams with heavy AI coding adoption are merging 98% more pull requests but PR review time has ballooned 91%, deployment velocity is effectively flat and 96% of developers don't fully trust AI-generated code reaching production. AI generated code produces 1.7x more issues per pull request than human written code, 0.83 issues per PR versus 6.45. Veracode's 2026 State of Software Security report found that 82% of organizations now carry security debt, up 11% year over year, with critical security debt surging 36% in a single year driven directly by AI-generated code reaching production faster than security teams can handle. What Dario is describing is a systems problem, not a software problem and coding is roughly 20% of the software delivery cycle. Even at infinite coding speed, you're still bottlenecked by review, security, verification, testing, and deployment which make up the other 80%.
