This gentleman saw a trailer for sale on a popular social media marketplace. He felt the price was fair. After reaching out to the seller he agreed to purchase it for $1100 which was the asking price. During the meet up, the seller appeared to be on the phone the whole time, he’s now claiming another buyer is offering $1200 for it. Even though the seller already agreed to sell it to him for $1100, he is now saying he had also agreed to meet up with another potential buyer who offered him $1200 for it. The gentleman declines to agree to that price because it’s not the price he agreed on initially. Later on the seller messages him again talking about the other buyer backed out and he is now willing to sell it for the original price of $1100. Was there really another buyer, or at this point was he using a dirty tactic to get the buyer to agree to a higher price, should he renegotiate a lower price to make up for the inconvenience during the first meet up?
