Mega Man 9 defeated. Never playing this mega-insanely impossible game again.

I played it against semi recently and found it to be easier. But when I played it the second time after not playing it for many years, I found it to be super hard too. The controls just aren't quite as responsive as Mega Man on a CRT but I still think it's a matter of just knowing where stuff is placed, and remembering the timing like in the old games that we've played so much. Plus the music in that game is amazing.

Its not that bad, once you get past the super cheap traps.

Not a fan? It's my second favorite, after 2. Didn't find it too hard. Mega Man 10 is harder. 10 seems like it saw the fans of 9 thinking it was easy and being mad about it. Soundtrack to 9 is killer. That helps. Still. Opinions all around are valid.

Several years ago I forced myself to replay 9 several times until I could consistently beat it in a sitting. It's certainly one of the more difficult in the series (IMO more difficult than was really necessary). I do like it tho. I have not yet done this for MM10.

I don't blame you. 9 is like what someone who didn't grow up playing Mega Man games thinks they're like, difficulty-wise. It dances on the Kaizo Mario line without ever actually crossing it. Still pretty fun, though!

The fact that the Wily Capsule’s weakness is the Plug Ball is *diabolical*, which is absolutely on brand for him lol

I like the bold difficulty, it's easier on replays imo Always start with Splash Woman since her weapon is a good buster substitute. Save Jewelman for later since his stage is batshit insane.

Now do it again with Protoman

That’s an achievement. I’ve been stuck in the fortress for months and have zero intention of going back in any time soon.

I played it and it wasnt impossible. megaman 7 was still the hardest on the last boos for me. it was frustrating. there was the 2 devils in I had to redo it to beat it.

I always disliked the direction this game took so much, absolutely catered to a toxic side of the fanbase who just happened to be extremely vocal.
