If it had psychic surge like it was supposed to it could have a niche in psyspam strats but nooo they just made it mega alakazam with a cooler design and worse at the two things mega alakazam does for slightly better physical survivability 😭😭

Trace is either one of the best ability or an absolute hindrance. No in between !

It's not the worst Mega, is really powerful, but Trace is a really bad ability for it. It's really trolling

Trace would have been better if your paired Pokémon took priority in double battles. Like imagine sending out Gholdengo and a Trace Pokémon and the Trace Pokémon Traced Good as Gold instead of the Opponent's ability. You could always guarantee a good one instead of hoping for one

If only they gave the mega Psychic Surge instead of Trace it would have actually been so viable

idk why they gave it trace I've had some fun interactions moving up the ladder with it And I like the design so much I kind of brute force myself to use it But it is legit terrible

Mega Alakazam does that shit as well. I copied good as gold and was inmune to my partner's helping hand.

I still think Meowstic should’ve had built in trick room for turn 1/quick claw so it would typical go first or just sets up trick room for 1turn dk 🤷🏾‍♂️

If they just reworked Trace so that what side it copies wasn’t random, Mega Meowstic immediately doubles in viability
