Meiselas: "There has been reporting about why CIA director John Ratcliffe visited Moscow. It said he visited to warn Putin to stay away from NATO countries — really nothing about Ukraine. And what did Putin do? Well, he launched a massive hack against Norway."

There’s really only one reason why War Criminal Putin invaded Ukraine and it’s because he wants to recreate the Failed Soviet Union. It has nothing to do with NATO. Russia has had a border with NATO since 1949 called Norway. NATO ally Finland has an 830 mile border with Russia.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe warned Russia not to attack NATO member states during his visit to Moscow, CBS News reports, but that secretive trip by Ratcliffe “could well be empty and ephemeral unless it is backed with a real show of strength,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) tells Margaret Brennan, saying Putin “understands only force.” “To warn or try to persuade Putin with words” is “largely going to be ineffective,” Blumenthal adds.

Russian TG channels circulated video of what they claimed to be CIA chief John Ratcliffe’a convoy leaving the Kremlin yesterday. It requires verification. But if Ratcliffe visited the Kremlin and didn’t meet Putin, it sounds like he was deliberately snubbed. He didn’t need to go all the way to the heart of Moscow to shake hands with SVR chief Naryshkin whose HQ is located on the outskirts of the city, not far from Vnukovo airport. Putin did meet Ratcliffe’s predecessor William Burns in 2021 for what resulted in a long and fateful meeting.

Former Defense Secretary and CIA Director Leon Panetta: Trump walked away from our allies, threatening to leave NATO. Our allies do not trust United States right now. We don’t have experienced diplomats, and he hasn’t been willing to stand up to Putin and help Ukraine succeed.

🚨🇺🇦🇷🇺CIA WHISTLEBLOWER JOHN KIRIAKOU PERFECTLY EXPLAINS UKRAINE PROXY WAR’S BACKGROUND ‘When Putin first became President, he floated the idea of Russia joining NATO. Bill Clinton was like yeah, we don’t like that idea very much. Putin said okay, if you won’t let Russia in NATO, at least don’t allow any of the countries on our border join NATO and Clinton said that we can agree to.’ ‘Next thing you know, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Poland all join NATO, directly on the Russian border. Then when Obama becomes President, at a summit with Putin, Putin said years ago I spoke to Clinton about Russia joining NATO, it’s something that we would like to explore. And Obama said we don’t think that’s going to happen. And Putin said well, you guys lied to me about these other countries joining NATO, so don’t allow Ukraine to join NATO. This is going to be a serious problem otherwise. Obama said okay we won’t…’ ‘And then Joe Biden becomes President and he says Ukraine would be a great addition to NATO, and the Russians said we’ve had enough.’

🚨🇺🇸🇷🇺 CIA Director John Ratcliffe’s sudden, very short visit to Moscow has triggered a wave of speculation — especially because even the Kremlin appeared unprepared for it. The last CIA chief visit to Moscow came in 2021, shortly before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. So what was this one about? One possibility is a direct warning to Putin over Russia’s hybrid operations against NATO and EU countries — and concerns about further escalation. But for now, we simply don’t know what was said behind closed doors. What’s your theory? What explanations are circulating in your country? 👇 Subscribe to follow what happens next — and share to spread the truth. 🇺🇦 #StandWithUkraine #RussiaIsCollapsing #MakeRussiaSmallAgain #RussiaEconomy

Washington Sent a Warning to Moscow. Putin Heard Weakness: CIA Director John Ratcliffe made an unannounced visit to Moscow on August 25 and met Russian intelligence chiefs. Washington wanted to signal it wasn’t exhausted by the war with Iran - and that a Ukraine-Russia escalation could pull the U.S. in. Signaling like that is risky with Moscow. You never know how the message will land. Putin read it as proof the U.S. was desperate for a deal. Russia then stepped up missile and drone strikes on Ukraine. Before talking to Moscow, you first have to know whether Putin even wants a ceasefire. He almost certainly doesn’t. In that case, nothing you offer matters.

.President Donald J. Trump tells me all the theories circulating about why our CIA Director is meeting with Putin in Moscow are WRONG: “He's there on a very sort of semi-routine [visit]. I hate to disappoint people… John Ratcliffe is a fantastic guy. He's the head of CIA, and he is not in there for any of the things that you said. Now, something may come out of it. We're working very hard to get that war ended, and frankly, they both want to see it ended at this point."
