Melatonin is not what you think it is.

Apparently melatonin is produced in the pineal gland and can come from animal or microorganisms but is often synthetic. I hope we aren’t the animals from which they are derived!

Melatonin + Reishi = Sleep mastered. Troomy Sleep helps you rest easy and wake up refreshed. 💤

For anyone confused about the pineal gland and melatonin 👇

I'm bawling cuz my brother gives my lil niece and nephew that stuff every night ..I been telling him for years it's not good for them😭😭😭

Otc .melatonin is rarely available to the body In the correct time, amount, or way. Regular use by children may also delay the onset of puberty. Magnesium might be an alternative.

That was long ago. It was from cattle. Melatonin is in everything all over the body. It Is now synthetic or from plants since 1995 ask me how I know, I interviewed the foremost expert on melatonin, Dr. Richard NEEL, at least five times and I have spoken to him in depth on it.

Good thing we make our own. Sitting in the darkness. Listening to the breath. Opening the heart space. We are self healing, self calibrating machines and we don’t need the external noise to be this

Raw cherries contain natural melatonin.

Where do you think [they] get an unending supply of pineal glands? Who else is involved in acquiring the glands? Welcome to HELL ON EARTH.

Hey @grok can you debunk this bull 🐂 before everyone has a panic attack. Commercial melatonin is produced through **chemical synthesis**, not animal extraction. The process starts with precursors like **5-methoxyindole** or **4-methoxyphenylhydrazine**, undergoing reactions such as Fischer indole synthesis, reductive amination, and acetylation to form **N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine** (melatonin). The final product is purified via recrystallization or chromatography to meet pharmaceutical standards. This method is cost-effective, scalable, and avoids ethical issues associated with animal-derived sources, such as pineal glands. Extracting melatonin from animals is impractical due to low yields, high costs, and regulatory/ethical concerns, making synthetic production the industry standard.

I think that guy thinks they're talking about melanin though
