Memory unlocked

I had this , but i had forgotten until i saw the video

Same here.

In fact i even remembered my thoughts, i would set up toys in random places and pretended that they were villains targeting them with the gun, then i though that if the gunfire sound changed in speed depending on how deep i press the button it would have been even better

I knew what each sound was coming next

Yup!

What's that thing called officially?

Holy sheeeeet. I had this. Pretty sure the day the battery died was the happiest day of my mother's life 😂😂

🥲 take me back. Closed my eyes and allowed the sound effects to warp me back to the good ol days

Yup

What’s the name of that thing and is it from a cartoon?

Holy cow! I remember this! Sound effects and all lol. The one(s) I/we had may have been a different color though. But can't recall for sure as this was easily 27+ years ago. 😭

🤯 yep! Had completely forgotten about this!

Such a beautiful memory.. Whole childhood gone with this.

This toy and similar retro toys are starting to pop up on Temu. Lots of The Last Starfighter.

SO MANY toys in the 80s played this exact set of sound effects in this order.

🥲

I swear those are the sound effects to all the Vectrex games I played.

Core memory unlocked 🔓

My father bought me one of these and my cousin broke it the sameday. I beat his axx real good too 😊

If mine still works I think I will give it to a friends kid to spread the nostalgia.

Went to hospital after being smashed on the back of the head with this they had to remove plastic from my head 🧐

Yes!!!! Had it…..memory totally unlocked. 👏🏻

😂😂

I forgot those existed. I think I had one too. lol

there was so many versions of this toy ray gun, like different designs made by different brands, but made the same noises, i remember i use to have a small keychain version of it.

Any updated version with a touchscreen on the side?

Oh the sounds alone. Man the memories

I forgot about that . Mine was a different color I think

I can still hear it from the Christmas home movies

Once I heard the sound at 31 seconds, I remembered what was coming next.

Elite sound effects.

Awesomeness

Does this toy have an official name ??

These were so fun! I might still have mine somewhere in the attic

can anyone find the name and or packaging ?

Yes

I think I had one of those, and it just magically disappeared. lol
